James Maynard has a Bachelor of Science in chemistry, physics and history from Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire. He taught the astronomy study sessions there for three semesters as a student instructor and has guest lectured at schools throughout southeastern New Hampshire in classrooms ranging from second grade to college. He is the author of “The Light of Alexandria,” a history of the first 1,000 years of science in Greece, Rome and Egypt and is the editor of “Phenomenal Physics: A Guided Inquiry Approach” by Dr. J. Russell Harkay. Maynard has taught in private rooms and large lecture halls, to students with an aptitude for science and to those who find it a struggle. Child and adult learners are all welcome. Lessons may be arranged at your house or at Maynard’s house in Temple. For distance education, students can also arrange for video lessons from SciArt Media.
